Honoring the winners of the Liwa International Festival competitions

Al Dhafra, 5 January / WAM / The curtain came down yesterday evening on the activities of the Liwa International Festival 2025, which witnessed strong competitions and wide participation from elite racers in the categories of car climbs up the hill of Mereb, in light of the presence of a large audience.

The final competitions witnessed great excitement in the various categories, as first place in the open category was achieved by the Emirati Jassim Mohammed Al Ali, with a time of 6.843 seconds, and second place was achieved by the Syrian Muhammad Amin Ismail, with a time of 7.019 seconds, and third place was achieved by the Emirati Hamad Muhammad. Al-Ahbabi, with a time of 7.218 seconds.

In the “Hilux” category, the first place was achieved by the Saudi Mahdi Muhammad Al-Salloum, with a time of 5.243 seconds, the second place was achieved by the Saudi Khalif Abdul Rahman Al-Khalif, with a time of 6.275 seconds, and the third place was ranked by the Saudi Muhammad Saeed Al Hamdan, with a time of 6.443. second.

In the 8-cylinder turbo category, the Emirati Yousef Muhammad Al Ali came in first place, with a time of 6.915 seconds, and the Saudi Meshal Muhammad Al-Khalidi came in second place, with a time of 6.946 seconds, and the Omani Hassan Muhammad Bushnaib came in third place, with a time of 7.520 seconds.

The first place in the 6-cylinder gas category was won by the Syrian Abdullah Ismail Muhammad, with a time of 6.522 seconds, and the Emirati Muzahim Muhammad Al Kaabi came in second place, with a time of 7.070 seconds, and the Emirati Faisal Hassan Al Balushi came in third place with a time of 7.194 seconds.

In the agency category, the first place was achieved by the Emirati Issa Abdullah Musharbak, with a time of 7.638 seconds, the second place was achieved by the Emirati Khalid Abdullah Rashid, with a time of 7.953 seconds, and the third place was achieved by the Saudi Hashem Adel Al-Musaed, with a time of 7.998 seconds, while he achieved first place in the agency category. Electric cars: Ahmed Khalfan Al Mansouri, Rashid Abdullah Al Ketbi came second, and Hilal third Al Khatri, Hamad bin Musa Al Balushi won first place in the “Hybrid” category, Awad Khalifa Al Hameli came second, and Ahmed Hayei Al Hameli came third.

The winners were honored by Abdullah Butti Al Qubaisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Liwa Sports Club, Mohammed Al Mashgouni, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Hamdan Al Mazrouei, General Manager of the Club, and Saud Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Financial and Administrative Director.

Al Qubaisi praised the high level presented by the contestants, and the spirit of challenge and determination among them, especially in the hill climbing category, which showed competition and strength of performance, indicating that this success reflects the participants’ passion for motor sports, which enhances the festival’s position as a platform that combines sports, culture and heritage.
