"Emirati-Qatari Super" Football from January 16 to 19
Abu Dhabi, January 8 / WAM / The organizing committee of the UAE-Qatari Football Super Cup announced the organization of the “four” Super matches from January 16 to 19.
The first tournament, called “Challenge Shield,” will be held between Al Rayyan, runner-up in the Iridan Stars League, and its counterpart, Shabab Al-Ahly, runner-up in the ADNOC Professional League, on January 16, 2025 in Doha.
In the “Super Cup” tournament, Al-Nasr team, runner-up of the President’s Cup, will meet Qatar Club, runner-up of the Emir of Qatar Cup, on January 17, 2025 in Dubai.
The third tournament is called the “Super Shield,” and brings together Al Sadd, the holders of the Iridan Stars League, and Al Wasl, the champions of the ADNOC Professional League, on January 18, 2025 in Doha.
While Al Wahda, champions of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, will meet Al Wakrah, champions of the Qatar Cup, in the “Challenge Cup” tournament on January 19, 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
In a related context, the Super Cup organizing committee signed an agreement with Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, under which the company becomes a main sponsor of the second edition of the Emirati-Qatari Super Cup.
The organizing committee of the Emirati-Qatari Super Cup had previously announced the holding of 4 tournaments.
