DUBAI, 8 JANUARY / WAM / The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with Kita Drone, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation in the field of delivery using drones, with a focus on ensuring the highest levels of security and safety in the airspace of Dubai, in line with local laws, regulations and standards. The memorandum of understanding was signed by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Linjawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Dr. Yinyan Mao, President of Kita Drone Company.
Areas of cooperation include evaluating and approving drone operation areas, with a focus on three main axes: assessing the infrastructure requirements for areas designated for drones, reviewing the airspace requirements for these areas, and finally assessing the security and safety needs of the airspace in delivery operations using drones in order to enhance To coordinate the efficient and safe use of drone deliveries.
Muhammad Linjawi said that this cooperation reflects the Authority’s commitment to the directives of the wise leadership to enable delivery by drones and provide an innovative infrastructure that enables companies to test their new solutions within a safe and exemplary environment, stressing the continued keenness to develop regulatory regulations that focus on providing the appropriate environment for this type of emerging technology.
