Pedro and Tomic were dismissed from coaching Baniyas and Al-Bataeh

Baniyas and Al-Bataeh clubs announced on Wednesday the dismissal of their coaches, Portuguese Joao Pedro Sousa and Croatian Goran Tomic, respectively, against the backdrop of negative results in the ADNOC Professional League.
Baniyas had suffered a heavy loss against Khor Fakkan 2-5 in the 11th round, while Al-Bataeh lost to Al-Jazira with an unanswered goal.
The Baniyas Club said in a statement on its account on the “X” platform: “The company announces the termination of the contract of coach Joao Pedro Sousa, after a comprehensive study of the team’s performance during the last period,” and added: “The decision to leave the Portuguese coach came out of the club’s management’s keenness to achieve the aspirations of its fans.” And enhance the team’s results in the next stage of local competitions.”

For the league.
Al-Bataeh suffered with its coach Tomic after finishing in penultimate place with five points, only two points ahead of last-placed Al-Orouba, and they became strongly threatened with relegation to the ranks of first-class clubs.
With Tomic, Al-Bataeh achieved only one win and two draws, and conceded eight defeats, scoring 14 goals, while conceding 27 goals.
