The Women’s Union and the Saudi Family Affairs Council are discussing activating their cooperation

The General Women’s Union and the Family Affairs Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia discussed ways to activate their joint memorandum of understanding, which comes in line with the objectives of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council in developing relations between the two brotherly countries.

This came during the meeting held virtually by the two sides, and chaired by the Family Affairs Council in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Haya Al-Maqushi, Executive Assistant at the Council, in the presence of the Advisor to the Secretary-General, the General Director of the General Administration of Committees, the General Director of the Planning and Strategic Transformation Department, and the General Director of the General Administration of Committees. The Family Observatory, the Advisor to the Secretary-General, the Media and Institutional Communication Advisor, and on the part of the General Women’s Union in the UAE, Engineer Ghalia Al-Mannai, Head of Strategic and Development Affairs, in the presence of the directors of departments in the Union.

The memorandum aims to enhance the role of women and the family and work hand in hand to develop proactive plans with a long-term vision, to develop initiatives and programs, exchange solutions and experiences, and overcome challenges, to ensure continuity of excellence and leadership in achieving sustainable social development for women in the two countries.

The memorandum includes areas of cooperation and exchange of information, experiences and expertise in the field of preparing policies, programs, action plans and effective legislation related to women, as well as the exchange of studies, documents, publications, information, research, reports and research related to them, in addition to organizing training courses, seminars, working sessions and conferences.

The two parties expressed their pride in the authentic and established relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the ancient history, bright present, and prosperous future that they share, which they look forward to together, to consolidate harmony and integration and enhance stability, prosperity and prosperity in the two countries, under the wise leadership of the two sister countries. They aspire for the Memorandum of Understanding to represent a starting point for achieving more desired goals, fruitful exchange of experiences, and highlighting the best methods. Supporting the women’s issue, in a way that lives up to the ambitions and aspirations of the leadership and peoples of the two countries.

The importance of joint cooperation lies in enhancing the empowerment of women, as they are the basic pillar of community cohesion and well-being.
