The final leg of the festival will witness the organization of a number of competitions and heritage events, including a camel race, a milking contest, a falconry race, a purebred Arabian horse race, a saluki race, an Arabian saluki race, a date and packaging race, a Naeem sheep race, an archery competition, a sour milk competition, and other events. The organizing committee for the sour milk competition has allocated 100 valuable prizes distributed over 10 rounds that will be held throughout the festival period. The date decoration and packaging competition includes 5 rounds (dabbas, khalas, shishi, fard, and date wrapping), and 50 prizes worth 350,000 dirhams are allocated for it. It continues from January 11 to 19, while the Purebred Arabian Horse Racing Championship will be held on January 12 in 3 rounds. The 2000-meter Arabian Saluki racing championship will be held on January 18 at three o’clock in the afternoon in the camel racing field. Among the competitions recently added to the festival’s program is the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Beauty Competition, which is held in cooperation with the Emirates Arabian Horse Association and is designated for owners of the Al Dhafra region. Its competitions take place in 6 rounds on January 24. The “Al Dhafra Shellah” competition also joins the list of heritage competitions and is held during the period 11- January 17, and valuable prizes were allocated for the competition.
