Al Dhafra Festival is the largest camel festival in the region, and aims to strengthen the position of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as a premier destination for camel auctions and a regional and global platform for heritage, attracting lovers of heritage competitions, and preserving purebred camel breeds. The final leg of the festival will witness the organization of a number of competitions and heritage events, including a camel race, a milking contest, a falconry race, a purebred Arabian horse race, a saluki race, an Arabian saluki race, a date and packaging race, a Naeem sheep race, an archery competition, a sour milk competition, and other events. The competition is open to all nationalities from 16 years of age and above, and 10 valuable prizes worth 150,000 dirhams have been allocated for it, and it has been allocated for the “Competition” competitions. “Ansf Al-Qa’ud”, which is held in the field of accompanying events, offers 21 prizes within 6 rounds in the qualifying stage, and each round has 3 prizes. Value, and 3 prizes for the closing round on January 26th.

The organizing committee for the sour milk competition has allocated 100 valuable prizes distributed over 10 rounds that will be held throughout the festival period. Receiving entries for the first round of the competition begins tomorrow, Saturday, and the next day the results will be announced, and the competition will continue until January 30 of this year.

The date decoration and packaging competition includes 5 rounds (dabbas, khalas, shishi, fard, and date wrapping), and 50 prizes worth 350,000 dirhams are allocated for it. It continues from January 11 to 19, while the Purebred Arabian Horse Racing Championship will be held on January 12 in 3 rounds. (Al Dhafra Main, Open, and Beginners) and the rounds competitions begin, for which 9 prizes are allocated per hour. 4 pm at the horse racing field in Madinat Zayed.

The 2000-meter Arabian Saluki racing championship will be held on January 18 at three o’clock in the afternoon in the camel racing field. It will witness the organization of 6 rounds (3 rounds for males and 3 rounds for females), and 30 valuable prizes are allocated for the championship. Among the competitions recently added to the festival’s program is the Al Dhafra Arabian Horse Beauty Competition, which is held in cooperation with the Emirates Arabian Horse Association and is designated for owners of the Al Dhafra region. Its competitions take place in 6 rounds on January 24. The “Al Dhafra Shellah” competition also joins the list of heritage competitions and is held during the period 11- January 17, and valuable prizes were allocated for the competition.
