المملكة: 6 violators of the environmental law were arrested in Medina and Riyadh

The Environmental Security Special Forces arrested a citizen who violated the environmental regulations by transporting 10 cubic meters of local firewood in the Medina area.
Regular procedures were applied against him, and the seized quantities were handed over to the competent authority.
The forces explained that the penalty for transporting local firewood and coal amounts to 16 thousand riyals per cubic meter.

5 violators in Riyadh

The Environmental Security Special Forces arrested 5 citizens who violated the environmental regulations, for committing two violations of cutting fences and entering a reserve without a license in the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve.
Regular procedures were applied against them, and they were referred to the competent authority.
The forces explained that the penalty for cutting or destroying the fences of protected areas reaches 100,000 riyals, with the violator obligated to remedy the damages and pay compensation.
The penalty for violating entry into protected areas without a license is a fine of 5,000 riyals.

Report violators

The Environmental Security Special Forces were urged to report any cases representing an attack on the environment or wildlife on the number 911 in the Makkah, Riyadh and Sharqiya regions.
And 999 and 996 in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
