10 killed in landslides in Brazil

At least 10 people were killed as a result of landslides resulting from heavy rains in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil, while another person was missing, according to what Brazilian fire brigades announced.

Romeo Zema, Governor of Minas Gerais, sent a message of solidarity to the victims of the landslides last night in the city of Ipatinga, via social media.

He placed at the municipality’s disposal all means available to the state to help rescue those affected by the torrential rains.
