"Ducab" Begins export of high voltage cables to Senegal

Dubai, January 13 / WAM / The Ducab Group has strengthened its presence in Africa by starting to supply high-voltage cables with a capacity of 220 kilovolts to Senegal for the first time, thus becoming the 23rd African country within the group’s growing portfolio.
This step forms a pivotal part of the electricity project in the capital, Dakar, which aims to develop the energy infrastructure and meet the increasing demand for it.
Charles Milagui, CEO of Ducab’s Cables Business Unit, expressed his pride in supporting the electricity project in Senegal by providing high-voltage cables in a move that is a valuable addition to the group’s expanding operations in Africa.
This project contributes to strengthening the energy infrastructure in Dakar and reflects Ducab’s commitment to providing reliable solutions in accordance with the highest international standards.
Ducab Group’s expansion into Senegal is part of its broader growth strategy in Africa, as it exports its products to 23 countries, including Angola, South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
With a presence in 75 global markets, Ducab’s growing presence in Africa highlights its commitment to supporting infrastructure projects across the continent.
This expansion is in line with the UAE’s recent pledge to allocate $4.5 billion to finance renewable energy initiatives in Africa, which confirms the joint commitment to achieving sustainable development and supporting energy transition efforts.
