Saud bin Saqr receives a delegation from the Journalists Association and Gulf, Arab and international media leaders
Ras Al Khaimah, January 15 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received today, at His Highness’s Palace in Saqr Bin Mohammed City, a delegation from the Emirates Journalists Association, headed by Fadila Al Muaini, President of the Association, accompanied by a supporter. Al-Lami, President of the Arab Journalists Union, and an elite group of Gulf, Arab, and international media and press leaders, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the founding of the association.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah congratulated the president and members of the association on the occasion of the “silver jubilee” of its founding, stressing the importance of the role of the media in supporting development and civilizational efforts, and conveying a positive image of countries and their institutions in a way that enhances their position regionally and globally.
His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah praised the role of the Emirati media and its active participation in conveying the cultural message of the UAE to the world, and highlighting the achievements it has achieved during more than five decades of development, work, and prosperity in various vital sectors. His Highness pointed out that the media, through what it provides With purposeful content, it is considered a mirror that reflects the ambitions and aspirations of people for a decent life, and sheds light on the various social, economic, and development issues that enhance the rates of prosperity and well-being in society.
During the meeting, His Highness was briefed on the association’s achievements at the regional and international levels, and its journey in serving the national media, enhancing journalistic work, supporting national cadres, and qualifying them to serve media goals in the UAE, through the combined efforts of media institutions and unifying the media message that expresses national identity. And consolidate the values of tolerance and coexistence among segments of society, reflecting the civilized face of the Emirati media.
His Highness exchanged friendly conversations with the attendees about the role of the media sector and its influence in shaping public opinion and strengthening relations between countries in light of the rapid developments the world is witnessing. His Highness also learned about the results of the meetings of the Gulf, Arab and international federations that were held on the sidelines of the UAE Journalists Association’s celebrations of the “Silver Jubilee” of its founding, which contribute to serving the Gulf and Arab media and strengthen the bonds of joint work between Arab brothers in the field of journalism and media.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Highness the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah received a memorial shield from the association’s delegation, and took a group photo with the attendees.
The attendees expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for his generous hospitality and warm reception, stressing that Ras Al Khaimah is witnessing, under the wise leadership of His Highness, a qualitative leap in many of its development sectors, which has strengthened its position.
