Sharjah.. The start of the weanling age race competitions in Al Dhaid Square

Sharjah, January 18, 2018 (WAM) – The weanling age race for tribal camels, organized by the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, began this evening on the grounds of Al Dhaid Camel Racing Field.
The competitions included 15 rounds for the weanlings, including 10 rounds for the people of Al Dhaid, two difficult rounds for the people of Al Dhaid, and 4 rounds for guests from the tribes from the Emirates and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, over a distance of 1,200 meters, in the presence of a large number of camel owners and lovers.
His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Muadhad bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, confirmed that the weanling age race in Al Dhaid Square contributed to providing a great opportunity for all camel owners from the tribes from the Emirates to participate in camels of the “weaning age” category, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed. Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, is focused on upholding this ancient historical heritage.
