Urgent.. Between Cairo – London.. The Arbitration Sins bus turns red
It seems that it was a sad night for the members of the Red Caravan, as it witnessed Al-Ahly’s defeat against Orlando in Cairo and Arsenal’s faltering against Aston Villa in London, both of which came amidst great uproar and arbitration controversy.
In the English capital, London, Arsenal tied at its “Emirates” stadium. Against its host Aston Villa with two goals each in the English Premier League, with great controversy.
Shortly before the end of the match, Arsenal scored the winning goal, but the referee, after using video technology, decided to cancel the goal on the pretext of a handball, even though the television replays did not clearly prove it.
This stumble made Arsenal move away from leaders Liverpool, led by Pharaoh Mohamed Salah, by a full 6 points.
In Cairo, Al-Ahly lost to Orlando Pirates of South Africa by two goals to one in the African Champions League in a confrontation that saw a penalty kick not awarded to Al-Ahmar and a goal by Rami Rabiaa canceled, and also in time.
The defeat eliminated Al-Ahly’s ambition to lead its third group in the African Champions League and made it runner-up with 10 points, while the top spot went to the Orlando Pirates, who have 14 points.
