ABU DHABI, 19 JANUARY / WAM / Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Honorary President of the Emirates Safe Internet Association, the association announced the launch of the second edition of the “Online Child Protection Award” and the “STOGO FEST Award,” which it launches under the slogan “Students’ well-being in the physical and virtual world.”
Engineer Adel Al Kaff Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Award and Vice President of the Emirates Safe Internet Association, said that the two awards come in honor of the distinguished innovative contributions in promoting positive online safety for children and digital well-being among schools and students in a vibrant festive atmosphere.
Abu Dhabi University is scheduled to host the event on February 11, 2025, which coincides with the celebrations of World Safer Internet Day 2025.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan praised the cooperation of the Association and its partners with various civil institutions in order to develop the capabilities of national youth to acquire professional skills in cyberspace.
During the event, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council, will deliver the keynote speech, while Dr. Saeed Al Dhaheri, Director of the Center for Future Studies at the University of Dubai, and President of the Robotics and Automation Society, will share his vision on how students can explore artificial intelligence and robotics to improve children’s well-being.

During the event, the nine winners of the best poster design competition on digital safety for children will be honored, in addition to ten schools being honored for their exceptional contributions to promoting digital safety on the Internet.
