Engineer Mahmoud Arafat: Our efforts and research have not ended, and all our institutions are continuing to search for sustainable solutions to the energy issue.

During his closing speech at the “Second Arab Conference on Renewable and Sustainable Energies,” Engineer Mahmoud Arafat, Secretary General of the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate and President of the Conference, expressed his pride in the fruitful results and recommendations reached by the conference, stressing that the discussions he witnessed were not limited to the framework of Local, Arab, or regional. Rather, it addressed a global issue that affects the entire planet Earth. He explained: “The issue of clean energy and environmental preservation is no longer a local matter, but has become a global challenge. Over the course of hundreds of years, humans have used fossil fuels extensively, ignoring their devastating negative effects on the planet, and today we are facing effects that have accumulated due to the intensity of industries that pollute the environment without sufficient awareness of their consequences.”

He said: “At the conclusion of this conference Al Arabi, we all stand before a great responsibility and a historic opportunity. The discussions and ideas presented during this event demonstrated that the path towards a sustainable future is not an option, but rather an urgent necessity dictated by the environmental, economic, and social challenges facing our world today. Therefore, I call on all participants, whether officials, researchers, or entrepreneurs, to transform what we discussed into concrete action plans, as ideas alone do not change reality, but will and commitment are the key to change.

 

“Arafat” indicated: He pointed out that the Syndicate of Engineers and the Federation of Arab Engineers and their various committees represent an integral part of the official institutions in the Arab countries, which places on them a great responsibility in following up and implementing the conference’s recommendations, adding: “Our efforts and research will not stop, and all our institutions are obligated to continue searching for solutions to these issues.” Fateful; Investing in renewable energy is not only an investment in technology, but rather an investment in a decent life, in a clean environment.

Arafat directs Many thanks to the Energy Committee of the Federation of Arab Engineers and all the participants who enriched the conference with their valuable ideas and experiences, in addition to the members of the organizing committee who made strenuous efforts to bring the conference out in an honorable manner befitting the status of engineers.

The “Chairman of the Conference” also praised With the experiences presented by the Arab countries during the conference, highlighting the pioneering experience presented by engineer Firas Bsharat from Palestine, which reflected the ability of the Palestinian people to confront difficulties creatively, effectively, and at the lowest costs. He said: “We are facing an educated and conscious people who are achieving their ambitions despite all the challenges and obstacles, and we will always be proud of them.”

Arafat concluded: He certainly stated that the end of this conference is only the beginning of further cooperation in the field of scientific research in an effort to develop our technological capabilities in the field of renewable energy, to reach integration at the level of governments and Arab civil society in this field. He stressed, “Let us make this conference a real starting point towards building an Arab sustainable energy system, based on cooperation, innovation, and strengthening Arab and regional partnerships. Let us be a role model in leading our societies towards a green economy, and engineers are qualified for this because of the knowledge and experience they possess, and their ability.” To make a difference and contribute effectively to all national issues and future projects.
