One person was killed and two others were injured in a stabbing attack on Wednesday evening outside a train station in Nagano, central Japan, and police are searching for a suspect who fled, Japanese authorities said.
Nagano police and fire department officials said a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead in a hospital. A 37-year-old man was injured but is conscious, while a 46-year-old woman was injured in the head after she fell.

Stabbing incident in Japan
Kyodo News reported that those injured described the suspect as an unfamiliar middle-aged man. The stabbing incident occurred near a bus stop outside Nagano Station.
