5 people were injured in a stabbing attack in south London

The London Ambulance Service said that five people were receiving treatment after being stabbed Thursday morning in south London.
The Metropolitan Police said that a man was arrested after the stabbing attack in the city of Croydon, which British media reported occurred near the Asda supermarket, and the authorities did not explain a motive for the stabbing.

The ambulance service said that one person was taken to a trauma center in London, and the other four were taken to hospital.
The service added: “We sent a number of support resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, and members of the Tactical Response Unit and London Air Ambulance.”
