The UAE launches a project to maintain sewage networks in Khan Yunis

Khan Yunis, 26 January / WAM / The emergency maintenance project for sewage networks began yesterday, Saturday, in various areas within the scope of the Khan Yunis municipality in the Gaza Strip, in response to urgent appeals from the residents of the city, which suffered from a humanitarian disaster and a comprehensive collapse of the infrastructure, as part of the ongoing efforts of the state. The UAE is part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3”.

In this regard, officials explained that the project aims to address the severe damage to the sewage and water networks, thus contributing to putting an end to environmental disasters and improving the living conditions of the residents of Khan Yunis, stressing that the UAE seeks, through the Projects Department, to implement urgent initiatives to deliver water to the affected areas. .

In this context, Dr. Alaa Al-Batta, Mayor of Khan Yunis, appreciated the humanitarian efforts made by the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, stressing that the UAE was one of the first countries to provide support and relief to the Palestinian people in Gaza continues to provide assistance to the residents of the Strip.

This initiative is part of a series of initiatives implemented by the UAE, to mitigate the effects of the disaster and enhance the stability of the affected Palestinian communities, in a clear embodiment of standing by the Palestinian people in their plight.
