Al -Khuraisi noted in a speech during the meeting, the depth of strategic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, which played a pivotal role in enhancing economic growth, cultural exchange, and strengthening ties between the two friendly countries, pointing out that the two countries agreed last December to increase the volume of bilateral trade to 37.5 billion dollars by 2030, as this growth reflects the importance of trade relations and its mutual benefit to the economies of both countries.

He pointed out that the relationship between the two countries is based on a successful commercial and investment partnership, as there are more than 1,000 British companies currently holding investment licenses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and 55 companies that have licenses for regional headquarters, such as Bae Systems and Rolls -Royce.

European market

And that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom have strong relations in a field, as the United Kingdom represents the main European market for the Kingdom, and the total number of travelers between the Kingdom and Britain in 2024 increased more than twice as compared to 2022, to reach one million and 338 thousand passengers.
He stated that the Kingdom has succeeded in launching large investments in the infrastructure of airlines and airports, including the establishment of “Riyadh Air” company as a new national carrier, the launch of the main plan for King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, and a set of other investments in the sector’s infrastructure; With the aim of achieving the Kingdom’s 2030 vision and the national aviation strategy targets by multiplying the number of passengers to reach 330 million passengers annually, increase the Kingdom’s air linking by more than 250 destinations around the world, and increasing the capacity of air freight to 4.5 million tons annually.
