“Emirates Today” learned that the Algerian coach, Jamal Belmadi, received an offer from one of the ADNOC Professional League clubs, to lead the first football team until the end of the season.

A source close to the coach, 48, told Emirates Today that “a club in the professional league (refused to reveal) continued through a mediator with the coach, regarding the possibility of contracting him in the coming days.”

He pointed out that “Jamal Belmadi does not mind agreeing to accept the task, especially if the club succeeds in dispensing the services of the coach who is currently leading the team.”

Belmadi is one of the most prominent coaches in the history of the Algerian national team, where he led the team from 2018 to 2024, and one of his most prominent achievements is the leadership of “Desert Warriors” to crown the 2019 African Nations Cup in Egypt.

Belmadi has great training experiences, as he is considered the most Algerian coach in his post, as he led the Algerian national team in 66 games, 42 of which won, drew 17 and lost seven games.

Jamal Belmadi began his training career one year after he retired from football in 2009, when he took over the Qatari Lekhwiya training in July 2010, then moved to train Qatar from March 2014 to January 2015.

The Algerian coach returned to the Qatari Lekhwiya training in June 2015, and continued with the team until July 2018.

On the other hand, the journey of glory with the Algerian national team began in August 2018 on a journey that spanned more than five years, during which he led “desert warriors” to achieve several achievements, most notably the African Nations Cup 2019 championship that was held in Egypt, with a generation that was among the most prominent in the history of Algeria completely And also achieved with the “Greens” the Arab Cup 2021.
