Cooperation between “Dubai Roads” and “E and UAE” to upgrade the infrastructure to move

The Dubai Roads and Communications Authority reviewed with a delegation from “E and Emirates” company, ways to enhance the use of future technologies in the fields of movement and communications, and to cooperate in joint projects between the two sides, with the aim of upgrading the infrastructure for mobility and developing innovative solutions that keep pace with the requirements of the digital age.

The meeting discussed the use of advanced technologies, such as the fifth generation technology, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, in improving smart transportation services and providing innovative solutions that guarantee the comfort and safety of public transport users in Dubai, and enhance the quality of life.
The chances of using modern communication networks have also been reviewed to provide immediate and accurate data on traffic and logistical services, which contributes to improving the flow of traffic and reducing congestion.

The Roads and Communications Authority highlighted its innovative digital initiatives covering seven major fields, including digital twins, metaphors, robots, environmental systems, institutional solutions, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the Internet of Things.

These initiatives come within the first phase of its digital strategy 2023-2030 that it announced recently, which includes 82 projects, initiative and implementation of a digital infrastructure and the ability to develop by 100%, enabling mobility by financial technology by 100%, and raising the percentage of digital adoption of the authority’s services to 95 %, 100%enabling the authority’s employees, and building 50 cases of artificial intelligence.

Mohamed Al -Mashrib, Executive Director of the Institutional Technical Support Sector at the Roads and Communications Authority, affirmed the commitment of the authority to lead digital innovation and pave the way for a promising future for transport in Dubai.

He said that harnessing the power of the fifth generation technology for traffic management in the actual time, and implementing solutions that depend on artificial intelligence to provide smooth experiences for travelers, and the use of the Internet of Things for more intelligent and secure infrastructure, aimed at pushing the limits of the possible and achieving leadership in the field of smart transportation, by benefiting from Advanced technologies also seek to create an integrated environmental system for mobility, characterized by intelligence, efficiency and sustainability, to serve our society and link its various sectors effectively.
