Samantha Moore Facto, a spokeswoman for Delta, said in an e -mail, that her Boeing 737 was waiting for ice removal from its external structure when the tip of the wing of another plane touched its tail.
She added that there were 142 passengers on the Delta No. 1921 flight to Puerto Valreta, Mexico, and they were transported to a new plane.
There were no reports of injuries to the crew or passengers.
