The Mohammed bin Hamad Al -Sharqi Council organizes a dialogue session on moral values and cultural identity
Fujairah, February 7/ WAM/ The “Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi Council” organized a session entitled “Promoting Positive Citizenship in Generations” in the Al -Baha Council in Fujairah, within the activities of “Community Councils”, coinciding with the announcement of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State ” May God protect him, “allocating in 2025 to be the” year of society “in the UAE under the slogan” Hand in Hand “, in a national initiative that embodies the vision of leadership towards building a coherent and prosperous society.
The session was attended by a group of community personalities, intellectuals and those interested in cultural and social issues.
In his speech during the session, His Excellency Sultan Saif Al -Samahi shed light on the role of moral values in shaping the cultural identity of societies, and the importance of the family and institutions in instilling these values, stressing that moral values play a fundamental role in building man and consolidating his belonging to his country and culture.
Al -Samahi explained that the family represents the first incubator of these values, followed by the role of educational and societal institutions in promoting and consolidating them throughout the various ages, and touched on the cultural challenges facing societies in the current era, pointing to the need to achieve a balance between openness to development and preserving the cultural identity.
The session also discussed the importance of preserving customs and traditions in light of modern variables, and ways to enhance the concept of positive citizenship for future generations, by enhancing national affiliation through education and awareness, and involving young people in community activities that enhance the values of cooperation and responsibility.
The session witnessed a wide interaction from the attendees, as the best ways were discussed to consolidate moral values in society, and the role of community councils in spreading awareness and enhancing the moral culture between new generations.
His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Naea Al -Tunaiji, Director of the Council of Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi said: And consolidating it in society and transferring it to future generations, and building a new, conscious and educated generation.
