المملكة: New controls to protect the secret test questions and prevent their leakage in schools
In a step to enhance integrity and transparency in the educational process, the Ministry of Education issued a set of strict measures aimed at protecting the secret test questions and ensuring that they are not leaked, by imposing restrictions on the process of photographing and preserving questions, and setting mechanisms to deal with any leakage cases that may occur.
These procedures include allocating specific places for photographing and packaging questions inside schools, and adopting strict security protocols to ensure the confidentiality of the papers, in addition to alternative mechanisms to address any breakthroughs that may affect the credibility of the exams.
Photography and packaging of test papers
The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to strict procedures regarding the photography and packaging of test papers, as it is not allowed to photograph questions outside the school boundaries under any circumstance, and a safe place is devoted within the educational institution for this purpose, which is used exclusively during the test period.
The Ministry also stressed the need to take accurate security measures to ensure the protection of questions from any leakage before the exam date.
According to the tests and procedures of testing, the photography of the questions must be done by the teacher responsible for preparing them, and if this is not possible, another person is appointed by the school principal with a documentation of the matter in an official record.
After filming, the questions are placed in sealed formal circumstances that contain the data of the material, the classroom, and the date of the exam, taking care to put the answers for the answers in independent and closing conditions to ensure that they are not seen before the specified date.
Burns of prevention of leaking tests
To avoid any unintended leakage, the ministry clarified that all the circumstances of the tests must be closed tightly with an official seal, and the signing of the school principal or the deputy of educational affairs, along with the teacher who is the question.
The papers are kept in a safe place under the direct supervision of the school administration, so that they are arranged according to the exam schedule to facilitate their distribution in time.
In the event that any leak of test questions is discovered before the exam date, the examination committee within the school takes the necessary measures, which include documenting the incident officially and immediately informing the Education Office. The leaked questions are then canceled, and another teacher is assigned to put alternative questions in coordination with the specialized educational supervisor.
In the event of time, it is possible to resort to the prepared backup questions for absent students or use another school through the Education Office to provide quick alternatives.
But if the leak is discovered during or after the test, an emergency meeting will be held with the Examinations Committee and the Department of Examinations Department in the Education Department to study the situation and make the most appropriate decision to ensure justice for all students, with parents notifying developments to achieve transparency and assured them that the rights of students are reserved.
A direct line of emergency
As a part of the precautionary procedures, the Ministry of Education has allocated a direct line for emergency situations related to the tests, as school administrators are granted to quickly communication with the competent authorities when any breakthrough may affect the progress of the exams, which allows immediate intervention to ensure the continuity of the educational process smoothly and safely.
These procedures reflect the Ministry of Education’s keenness to protect the integrity of the exams and ensure equal opportunities among all students, by adopting clear mechanisms to combat any violations that may affect the progress of the educational process. Continuous control and cooperation between educational departments and schools and parents remains essential factors in achieving a fair and reliable test environment.
