“Sharjah Private Education” sets the controls for the work of the administrative staff in its schools during the spring break

The Sharjah Private Education Authority has set the controls and mechanisms for the work of administrative cadres in private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah during the spring break, in response to requests submitted by a number of schools in the emirate with the aim of completing some organizational and administrative work during this period.

The authority stated, in a circular seen by Emirates Today, that it allowed some private schools in the emirate to have administrative staff during the spring break period, in response to requests submitted by a number of schools to obtain approval to enable their administrative staff to perform some tasks during the vacation period.

The authority explained, through a circular addressed to the principals of private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah, that after studying the requests received from a number of schools, it does not mind the presence of administrative staff during spring break, provided that the application of this procedure is limited to schools that see a real need for this, and in accordance with their organizational and administrative needs.

She stressed that the decision comes within the framework of the organizational flexibility granted to private schools, which helps them complete important administrative work, such as preparations for the next semester, completing organizational procedures, and following up on some administrative and financial files that require the presence of administrative staff during the vacation period.

She explained that determining the number of employees and the days on which the administrative staff is present during spring break is left to the discretion of the administration of each school, according to its work requirements, and in a way that ensures that it does not affect the nature of the vacation scheduled for students and educational staff, stressing at the same time that this procedure is optional and not binding for all private schools in the emirate.

The authority stressed that allowing attendance during vacation is limited to administrative staff only, and does not include educational or teaching staff, noting that the aim of this is to enable schools to complete the administrative work and preparations necessary to resume studies smoothly at the beginning of the third semester.

In the same context, the Authority confirmed that it will carry out periodic monitoring and supervisory visits to private schools during the spring break period, within the framework of its supervisory and regulatory role, with the aim of ensuring that schools adhere to the controls and instructions regulating work during this period, and to ensure that the procedures are implemented in accordance with what was stated in the circular.

The authority indicated that these visits also aim to monitor the readiness of schools and complete administrative and organizational work requirements, ensuring the provision of an integrated educational and administrative environment when students return to school after the end of the vacation.

Through its circular, the Authority stressed the importance of private school administrations cooperating and adhering to approved regulatory instructions and procedures, which contributes to enhancing the efficiency of administrative work and ensuring the smooth running of organizational processes within schools.

This circular comes within the framework of the efforts of the Sharjah Private Education Authority to organize work in private schools in the emirate, taking into account the needs of various educational institutions, and supporting the continuity of quality administrative and organizational performance, in a way that strengthens the private education system and raises the level of educational services provided in the emirate.
