Minister of Economy: 5 to 6%, the expected growth of the national economy in 2025

Dubai, February 12 / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al -Marri, Minister of Economy, expected the growth of the national economy of the United Arab Emirates by 5 to 6% during the year 2025, driven by strong performance in the technology, renewable energy, trade, financial services and infrastructure sectors.

His Excellency said, in statements to Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the activities of the second day of the World Summit of Governments 2025 held in Dubai, that the average growth of GDP reached 4.8 % between 2021 and 2024, while the average oil non -oil product grows to 6.2 %, And the percentage of the contribution of the non -oil sectors reached 75% in the gross domestic product of the national economy, which confirms the proceeding of the targets of the “UAE 2031” vision.
His Excellency pointed out that the continuation of growth gives a clear indication of the ability of the national economy to continue the process of sustainable and high growth compared to developed countries; He said that the UAE has a clear economic strategy that includes the circular economy, space economy and new economics sectors, in addition to discussing new economic blocs, contracting partnerships and attracting foreign investment.
His Excellency added that the UAE’s economy thanks to the vision and directives of leadership has a high amount of flexibility and solidity in facing the challenges in the world and continuing sustainable growth based on clear strategies that enhance the new economic model based on knowledge, innovation and advanced technology.
