Abu Dhabi, February 14, WAM / The Integrated Transport Center “Abu Dhabi Mobility”, affiliated with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, continues its intensive efforts to develop innovative solutions in the smart transport sector, in cooperation with the Japanese Cooperation Center for the Middle East, in an important step towards using advanced technologies to improve transportation and enhance networks Efficiency and sustainability in urban environments, which contributes to enhancing the movement of navigation.

In the context of this cooperation, “Abu Dhabi Mobility” organized a workshop and a field visit to a number of transport projects in Abu Dhabi to exchange experiences between the two countries, and focus on the latest technological solutions in the field of smart mobility.

The two parties reviewed innovative models to integrate technology into transportation networks, and ways to develop public transport systems to ensure environmental efficiency and sustainability, with the aim of strengthening global partnerships and encouraging technological innovation, in addition to improving relations with Japan to exchange knowledge, in support of Abu Dhabi’s vision of sustainable and advanced urban movement.

The workshop and field visit reflects the leadership of Abu Dhabi in developing smart transportation technologies, as it highlighted the commitment of “Abu Dhabi to navigate” to integrate advanced transportation technologies into its infrastructure.

The workshop included prominent topics in this regard, including charging electric vehicles, traffic management using artificial intelligence technologies, and wireless energy transport.

The field visit on Yas Island included a tour of the Operations Center for Smart Mobility Projects, as well as providing illustrations for self -driving taxi services “Robotaksi” and self -driving bus “Robobus”, three -dimensional printed boats, and water transport, to see some innovative ideas about integrating technologies Smart in transportation operations.

Eng. Abdullah Hamad Al -Eryani, Acting Executive Director of the Planning and Strategic Affairs Sector in “Abu Dhabi Mobility”, stressed the importance of this partnership aimed at developing smart and sustainable transport solutions, pointing out that the strategic partnership with the Japanese Middle East Cooperation Center is established to improve public transport systems and enhance the experience of smart transportation .

He added that this cooperation reflects the commitment to innovation and the use of advanced technologies to improve the efficiency of transportation networks in Abu Dhabi and enhance their sustainability, by taking advantage of global experiences to develop smart solutions that are in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision in improving transportation systems and enhancing the transportation experience.

He expressed his confidence that this partnership will contribute to strengthening the emirate’s position as a global center for innovation in the transport sector.

On the sidelines of the work of this event, “Abu Dhabi Mobility” witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Emirates driving education company and the Japanese company Zenmov, which is one of the leading companies in the field of transport technology, within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two parties, which aims to support the introduction of solutions and technologies Innovative Japanese to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, promoting the leadership of the emirate in developing smart movement technologies, expanding global partnerships, and encouraging technological innovation.
