المملكة: Blocking the shooting of prayers and collecting donations in mosques during Ramadan

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance issued a package of instructions addressed to the employees of mosques in all regions of the Kingdom, aiming to organize mosques affairs during the blessed month of Ramadan 1446 AH, in a way that guarantees the comfort of the worshipers and achieves the ministry’s message and its general goals.
In its statement, the ministry stressed the necessity of the imams and muezzins to regularize the work throughout the holy month, while adhering to raising the call to prayer in the specified dates according to the calendar of Umm Al -Qura, and that residence after the call to prayer according to the period approved for each prayer, except for the prayers of dinner and dawn, where it was determined by fifteen minutes. I also stressed the completion of the prayer of tahajjud in the last ten days before the dawn call to prayer. Taking into account the circumstances of the worshipers.

Cameras inside mosques

With regard to the installation of cameras inside the mosques, the Ministry prohibited their use to photograph the imam and worshipers or transfer prayers through various media outlets, in addition to preventing anyone from begging inside or in the mosque.
She pointed to the need to inform the security authorities when noting any violations. It also prevented the collection of financial donations for the projects to break the fast, calling for the organization of breakfast in the squares prepared for mosques and under the responsibility of the imam and the muezzin, while cleaning the place as soon as it is completed.

Religious awareness

The new instructions indicated that the imam is responsible for authorizing the retreat, verifying their data, requesting the approvals of the sponsor to non -Saudis, and ensuring that there are no violations.
It also called on the employees of mosques, preachers and preachers to intensify religious awareness, explain the virtue of the month of Ramadan and the virtues of business in it, and encourage worshipers to seize the blessed times.

Field tours

The Ministry confirmed the intensification of field tours for mosque monitors; To ensure full commitment to instructions, and to take regular measures against violators, stressing that citizens and residents can communicate with the Unified Communication Center (1933) or the Ministry’s branches in the regions to report any default or violation.
At the end of her statement, she asked God Almighty that everyone informs the month of Ramadan and to perpetuate its security and prosperity in the shadow of the wise leadership.
