المملكة: Absolute freedom is absolute spoiler and digital legislation is a necessity

His Excellency Professor Muammar bin Mutahar Al -Iryani, during the activities of the Saudi Media Forum 2025, dealt with the subject of legislation that keeps pace with digital development.
He said: “There are trends to penetrate the privacy of individuals, and the media directs some countries to specific paths, and without digital legislation, these countries stand without knowing how to deal with these trends.”
He added: “Absolute freedom is absolute spoiler, so the need for digital legislation increases.”

Saudi Media Forum

The activities of the Saudi Media Forum 2025 were launched today, Wednesday, in the capital, Riyadh, carrying the title of Arab media capital, with the wide participation of media pioneers, decision makers and influencers from different countries of the world.
The forum comes under the slogan “Media in a world formed”, to reflect the importance of keeping pace with the rapid developments in the global media scene.
The event, which is launched in the ministerial speech of the Minister of Information, Salman Al -Dossary, is witnessing dialogue sessions and specialized workshops, aiming to enhance strategic partnerships, discuss media challenges, and advance innovation and technology in the media field.
