المملكة: Education restructuring … canceling supervision and admission offices and the creation of school administration

The Ministry of Education revealed radical changes in the organizational guide for the education departments for the academic year 1446 AH, which included the abolition of a number of departments and departments, the restructuring of other organizational units, with the aim of enhancing performance efficiency and raising the level of integration between educational departments, and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the education sector.
The Ministry stated that the new amendments included the abolition of the Education Secretariat Department, the education offices “previously known for educational supervision”, the management support support for the support services and education offices, and the admission unit.
The Ministry attributed this step to its endeavor to simplify administrative procedures and reduce interference in tasks between the various departments, which contributes to raising the efficiency of administrative work and improving the mechanisms of implementation.
On the other hand, the Ministry created the school administration department, and was attached to the Education Performance Department.
The Ministry indicated that the new section will take responsibility for ensuring the efficiency of administrative and planning operations in schools, supervising the periodic evaluation of the job performance of school administrators, and preparing and implementing plans to develop administrative performance of schools, with a focus on supporting schools with low performance. The department will also mean following the national performance in the field of public education and analyzing data on educational indicators.

The Ministry created the “School Excellence Support” unit, and it was directly linked to the assistant for educational affairs. The ministry emphasized that this unit aims to enhance the quality of educational performance and support schools in achieving the standards of excellence, by preparing and implementing annual plans to support excellence, conducting periodic assessments, and following up inquiries related to school excellence.
The Ministry of Education stressed that these amendments come within the framework of its continuous strategy to develop administrative systems and organizational regulations, in a way that contributes to raising the quality of education and achieving integration between education departments. The Ministry stressed its commitment to continuing to improve administrative policies and plans to ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality in the education environment.
