Umm Al Quwain University organizes a dialogue session on the role of innovation in developing an academic community

Umm Al Quwain, February 26 / WAM / The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Umm Al Quwain University organized a dialogue session entitled “Innovation and Academic Society for Future Building”, within the “Emirates Innovation month 2025”.

The session was attended by representatives of government institutions in the emirate, in addition to academics, specialists and students interested in innovation.

The session dealt with the role of innovation in developing the academic community, as the participants discussed multiple aspects such as innovation in scientific research, media, law, libraries, and human resources management.

They stressed the importance of creating a social and cultural environment in support of innovation within academic institutions, noting the impact of innovation in promoting communication between individuals and improving the results of scientific research using technology and artificial intelligence.

The role of the media was highlighted in spreading the culture of innovation and intellectual property protection through legal legislation, in addition to discussing how traditional libraries turned into digital cognitive centers that meet the needs of the times.

At the end of the session, which was moderated by Dr. Suzan Shaheen, President of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Umm Al Quwain University, the importance of enhancing a culture of innovation in the academic environment and cooperation between specializations was emphasized to advance the wheel of innovation towards the future.
