Tashkent on March 2 / WAM / Amr Gad, our national Judo player, achieved yesterday evening the bronze of “Tashkent Grand Salam” in his first official foreign participation, after his victory in the preliminary round over the Uzbek Mavo Nerdif, then Italian Billerrara, then Kazakhsani Jubarnana, by guaranteeing his group, to face the hero of Uzbekistan Superov at home Amid his fans and wins it, then qualifies for the semi -finals after a hard journey of strong counterparts, in which he lost and was satisfied with the bronze medal to put the UAE team in the eighth ranking among the teams of the participating countries.
The tournament was held under the supervision of the International Federation of the game, with the participation of 242 players from 23 countries for prizes of 154,000 euros, and Dr. Nasser Al -Tamimi, member of the National Olympic Committee, head of the mission, the Secretary General of the Emirates Judo Federation, participated in the International Federation’s treasurer in the crowning of the winners.
