More than 6.5 million male and female students returned to the seats in the various schools of public, private and foreign education, today, Sunday, marking the start of the third and final semester of the current academic year 1446 AH.
This return, which followed the period of establishment and winter vacation, which spanned nine days, comes amid a great focus from the Ministry of Education on achieving the highest levels of school discipline.
The Ministry of Education, in coordination with the relevant government agencies in the regions of the Kingdom, adopted the timing of the beginning of the school day for the blessed month of Ramadan. The start of the school day identified between nine o’clock to ten in the morning, and gave education directors in the regions and governorates the authority to provide the time of the start of the school day for an hour, in coordination with the relevant authorities in the region or the governorate, as well as determining the time of the classroom with 35 minutes.
The Ministry of Education stressed that discipline is a top priority in this semester, stressing the need to activate the school day from the first session. The Ministry stated that the absence of male and female students will be monitored on a daily and accurate basis, and the parents’ notification of it immediately through the “Noor” system.
In this context, the Ministry called on school departments to intensify awareness efforts of the importance of regular presence and the impact of negative absence on academic achievement. It was also directed to activate monitoring and follow -up mechanisms to ensure students’ commitment to attend since the first day.
She indicated that school administrations have completed their preparations to receive students, including preparing programs and guidance plans, ensuring the distribution of courses and study schedules, and activating lessons through the platform “My School” electronic.
The third semester lasts 13 academic weeks, at 63 days, and includes 3 vacations, namely: Eid Al -Fitr holiday, leave on Sunday and Monday 6-7 of Dhul Qi’dah next, and the Eid al -Adha vacation.
On Sunday 27 Dhu al -Qi’dah 1446 AH, the Ministry of Education has set a date for the start of oral and practical tests, while the final editorial tests will start for all stages on 19 Dhu al -Hijjah 1446 AH. The results of the final tests will be announced on Thursday 23 Dhu al -Hijjah, with the second round tests for students begin at all stages, as well as for students expected to graduate, starting on Monday 27 Dhu al -Hijjah 1446 AH. It is scheduled to start the school staff’s leave at the end of the day of time on Thursday 1 Muharram 1447 AH.
