To support Saudi cinematic talents .. The launch of the 6th edition of the Ludaj 2025 program

The Red Sea Film Foundation announced, through its educational arm, “Red Sea laboratories”, the launch of the sixth edition of the “Red Sea” program for emerging filmmakers, in a move aimed at supporting and empowering talents from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world, with Asian participation for the first time, as well as representation from Africa and Asia. The program comes after a successful start in early 2025, where he started educational workshops I devoted to the emerging Saudi talents. It was followed by a series of intense workshops aimed at refining and raising the level of selected projects, in preparation for displaying them within the activities of the fifth session of the International Red Sea Film Festival, scheduled for 4 to 13 December at its permanent headquarters in Al -Balad region in Historic Jeddah.

Promise projects and directives of industry experts

12 exceptional cinematic projects were chosen representing talents arising from the Kingdom and Arab, Asian and African regions, to be subject to a 10 -month training path, which includes six workshops led by cinema experts in multiple fields, starting with scenario and development consultations, through joint production and financing strategies, up to legal considerations and marketing.
The program concludes with a final presentation before an international jury, which allows films the opportunity to meet with international producers, sales agents, distributors and other specialists.

Support global spread

“We adhere to the institution to support and enable emerging filmmakers, and provide them with specialized resources and guidance, which gives them the opportunity to spread globally. The Al -Lodge program is an essential pillar in their cinematic career, and we are proud of the remarkable Saudi participation that has been witnessing the largest presence since the start of the program.
For his part, Ryan Ashour, head of the Red Sea laboratory, stressed: “The Loudj program remains the cornerstone of our commitment to cinematic talents and enhance the novel of creative stories. We welcome the new talents, seeking to enhance cooperation between Asia, the Arab world and Africa, to form a cinematic scene rich in various views. “

Glorious local and international talents

Five prominent Saudi projects participated in the course, namely:

  • Green Edge – Writer/Director: Khaled Zaidan, and the producer: Bakr Al -Dahim.
  • Street Education – Writer/Director: Yasser bin Abdul Rahman, and Al -Muntaom: Amal Al -Sinan.
  • Dhal – director: Dania Al -Tayeb, Writer: Duan Al -Janabi, and the producer: Moaz Mansour.
  • From scratch to a thousand – director: Hana Saleh Al -Fassi, writer: Hana Hijazi, and Al -Muntaom: Sue Ellen Chitonia.
  • Salma, the moon and the stars – the writer/director: Maram Taibah, and the producer: Farah Johnny.

He also joined the course distinguished international projects from all over the world, including “The Bad pen”, “Shadia”, “Nikanai” and “Love is a deeper shadow than red”, “unacceptable”, “daughter” and “Veil Whisper”.

Workshops offered by experts

The program provides a comprehensive study curriculum through intense workshops led by a group of film industry experts such as Violetta Pava, “President of Studies”, and Michel Kamoun “Head of Screenplay Development”, along with a number of bright names in the field. Various experiences and expert directions contribute to enhancing the capabilities of filmmakers to develop their projects and turn their ideas into a cinematic reality presented to a global audience.
The “Red Sea” program is also a leading platform for the development of cinematic talents and the provision of opportunities to display its projects at the Red Red Sea International Film Festival, which reflects the commitment of the Red Sea Film Foundation to form the future of cinema in the region, and its support for diversity and innovation in the film industry.
