The Municipality of the Eastern Region, in cooperation with the Eastern Region Traffic Department, announced the start of the implementation of the project of developing King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al -Qashla Road, starting from Sunday 9 Ramadan 1446 AH corresponding to March 9, 2025 AD, which comes as part of its efforts to improve the quality of the road network and enhance the flow of traffic.

Project stages

The project includes several stages to develop the road that extends from its intersection with King Faisal Al -Sahili Road, to its intersection with Prince Sultan Road by creating and amending points of circumvention, in addition to closing the reference of the intersection of King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, as part of the secretariat plan aimed at raising the efficiency of roads, reducing the time of the trip, and enhancing traffic safety through appropriate engineering solutions that contribute to reducing crowding and improving the flow of vehicles more smoothly.

Infrastructure development

The Secretariat said that these works come within the framework of its comprehensive strategy to develop infrastructure in line with the sustainable development plans and the Kingdom’s 2030 vision that focuses on upgrading the quality of life, and enhancing the efficiency of services provided to citizens and residents, noting that the project contributes to enhancing traffic and traffic safety standards and reducing congestion points that affect daily traffic.

Commitment to safety guidelines

She called on all road users to adhere to the declared traffic transfers and follow the warning guidelines that were placed in the work sites to ensure their safety and the safety of workers, noting that they receive all inquiries and observations related to the project through the 940 communications center in order to ensure the implementation of works with high efficiency and quality.
It is noteworthy that this project falls within a series of development initiatives and programs that the Secretariat is working on to improve and improve the road network.
