Opening the nomination door for the eighth session of "The Sharjah Prize for Linguistic and Lexicon Studies
Sharjah, March 5 / WAM / The Arabic Language Complex in Sharjah announced the opening of the nomination for the eighth session of the Sharjah Award for Linguistic and Lexicon Studies for the year 2025, which aims to support and encourage researchers in the fields of linguistic and lexicals by honoring the distinguished works that enrich the linguistic and lexical research and enhance the position of Arabic in studies Academy continues to receive participation requests until June 30, 2025.
The award falls within the efforts of the complex aimed at stimulating specialized studies in the Arabic language and highlighting the research that contributes to the development of its sciences according to the latest curricula and linguistic and lexical approaches. The award, which is $ 100,000, is awarded equally between the two axes of linguistic studies and lexical studies for four winners, where each of the first place winners in each axis get 30 thousand dollars, while each of the winners of the second place from each axis get 20 thousand dollars.
In its eighth session, the award includes two major topics, the first of which is related to the linguistic axis, which is “the forensic linguistic studies” that deals with research that taught texts with their vocal, morphological, grammatical and lexical levels according to modern linguistic standards such as consistency, harmony, intertextuality and acceptable, which provides a deeper understanding of an understanding For linguistic structure and analysis in renewed methods.
As for the second topic related to the axis of the lexicals, it deals with “dictionaries composed in the terms of Arabic language science” and includes dictionaries that document linguistic terms in the fields of grammar, exchange, rhetoric, shows, lords, vocalty and language jurisprudence in the framework of efforts to document and rooting linguistic terms.
Through these two axes, the award seeks to enhance contemporary linguistic research and encourage studies that link linguistic heritage to modern scientific approaches to serve the Arabic language and enhance its presence in the global research scene.
