Second Al -Zyoudi: The economic partnership between the UAE and Central Africa enhances bilateral trade to exceed 3.67 billion dirham

Abu Dhabi, March 6/ WAM/ His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, said that the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and the Central African Republic reflects the rational leadership’s keenness to improve the prospects for trade and investment cooperation with various countries of the world through economic diversification and sustainable development in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of the economic strategy.

His Excellency added in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” that the agreement provides more growth and prosperity for business community in the two countries and contributes to promoting bilateral trade to exceed 3.67 billion dirhams during the next “5 to 7” years in order to achieve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

His Excellency pointed out that the non -oil inter -trade with the Central African Republic is witnessing continuous growth, as it reached more than 925 million dirhams in 2024, which reflects the speed of growth in the volume of trade exchanges between the two countries.

His Excellency Dr. Thani Al -Zyoudi explained that the proportion of the liberalization of the goods reached 98% by the UAE to Central Africa and 99.5% from Central Africa to the UAE, which would provide a great opportunity for Emirati exporters to expand in the African market.

His Excellency said that the agreement provides many huge investment opportunities between the two countries in the service sectors, including communications, hospitality, logistical sector, financial technology and business sectors in general .. In addition to enhancing investment and commercial cooperation in many sectors, commodities and strategic minerals, including aluminum, ceramics, petrochemicals, iron, silver, gold, food and textiles.

His Excellency added that the agreement focuses on enhancing cooperation in future economic sectors, especially the digital economy and advanced technology and opening new horizons for small and medium -sized companies in the two countries in addition to launching many integrative investment projects during the next stage.

His Excellency said that the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the UAE and Central Africa contributes to enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations, accelerating growth in priority sectors, providing job opportunities and strengthening supply chains in addition to strengthening the Emirates International Trade Network to expand new markets in order to achieve mutual benefit.
