“Dubai Roads” accomplishes 40% of the promotion of “Nol” for digital payment

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has completed 40% of the current Nol Development and Promotion project, which operates with Card Based Ticketing, to the digital -backed digital -bonding digital audit system, which is the latest and most developed system.

The Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Matar Al -Tayer, said in a press statement yesterday that the cost of the project is 550 million dirhams, and it was divided into three main stages, the first includes the promotion of the central system to create accounts for customers to be bound digitally with all the “Nol” cards currently used by them, and the second is to start issuing the new generation of cards with new technologies and according to international standards to comply with bank cards technologies, While in the third stage, the system promotion will be completed to accept other payment methods, such as bank cards and digital portfolios.

He added that the promotion of the “Nol” system contributes to providing many characteristics and benefits to customers, such as creating accounts, linking “Nol” cards with them, adding cards in the digital portfolios of smartphones, buying tickets with the techniques of icons qr code via digital channels, and applying the concept of flexible tariff in public transportation, explaining that customers through the new system will be able to create their accounts and link The cards belonging to them and their families, control the files and distribute the packing amounts for each account card.

He pointed out that the new system will enhance the use of “Nol” cards outside the scope of public transportation according to the new technologies, as dealers will be able to use the new generation of cards to shop through digital channels and retail stores in the country similar to bank cards.
