المملكة: A fine of 5 million .. “General Transport” warns of foreign trucks that violate

The General Transport Authority has warned against contracting with foreign trucks practicing internal transport in the Kingdom in an irregular manner, in light of the start of the provisions of the land transport system on the new roads as of the date of its publication in the Official Gazette on February 23, 2025.
She explained that the new system includes strict penalties for foreign trucks that are violating, reaching a fine of five million riyals, and seizing the violating vehicle for a period not exceeding “60” days. In addition, the system gives the competent court the authority to confiscate the vehicle in the event of a repeat of the violation for the fifth time and the following.

It warned that these trucks should not be contracted, as this may result in harm to the transported goods in the event of the seizure of the violating vehicles.
She emphasized that in the event that public or private property is damaged as a result of violating the provisions of the system, the responsibility falls on the anticipation of the damage in accordance with the provisions of the system.
