المملكة: The first air medical evacuation from the Grand Mosque through the new ambulance landing
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority carried out the first air medical evacuation operation from the Grand Mosque after the inauguration of the air ambulance landing in the third Saudi expansion.
This comes in a move that reflects the great development in the ambulance services provided to the guests of Rahman.
This urgent task came after the campus hospital received the case of a patient suffering from an angina, and preliminary medical care was provided before his transfer via the air ambulance plane to King Abdullah Medical City to complete his treatment, according to the highest medical standards used in critical cases.
Immediate transfer of dangerous cases
This step enhances the speed of response to emergency cases within the Great Mosque of Mecca, as new air ambulances allow the immediate transfer of dangerous cases to reference hospitals, which contributes to saving lives and providing advanced health care in time.
These efforts come within the framework of the Kingdom’s keenness to develop the infrastructure of health services within the Great Mosque of Mecca, to ensure the highest levels of medical care for the guests of Rahman, especially during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, which are witnessing the arrival of large numbers of visitors.
