Exempt China from the fees for the “Tik Talk” deal

US President Donald Trump said that he will study a deal on the “Tech Talk” application so that China agrees to sell the Bate Dance short videos app, in exchange for an exemption from US customs duties on Chinese imports.

In statements to reporters on the presidential plane, Trump used “Tik Talk” as an example of how to use customs duties to negotiate with other countries.

The US President said: “There is a situation regarding (Tek Talk), where China is likely to say we will agree to a deal, but will you take a measure on customs duties?”
He added, “We may use customs duties to get something in return.” In front of “Tik Talk”, until April 5, to reach an agreement to find a non -Chinese buyer. The application faces the threat of the ban in the United States.

Trump said that his administration has become “very close” to reaching an agreement on “Tek Tok”, with the participation of many investors.

Trump made these comments one day after announcing the imposition of 10 percent basic customs duties on all imports to the United States, and higher customs fees on some of the largest commercial partners.

China is now facing 54 percent customs duties on imported goods to the United States. The “Tech Talk” application immediately did not respond to the comment request.
