The Emirati Parliamentary Division participates in the Parliamentary Women Forum in Tashkent

Tashkent on April 5 / WAM / The Parliamentary Division Group of the Federal National Council in the International Parliamentary Union, represented by the happiness of Dr. Moza Muhammad Al -Shehhi, Mira Sultan Al -Suwaidi, Sarah Muhammad Flunaz, and Dr. Sidra Rashid Al -Mansoori, members of the Council, participated in the 39th session of the Parliamentary Women Forum, which was held within the association’s 150 meetings of the Federation in Tashkent in Uzbekistan.

His Excellency Dr. Moza Muhammad Al -Shehhi stressed in the intervention of the Emirati Parliamentary Division, on the draft resolution “Parliament’s role in promoting the two state solutions in Palestine” the importance of the draft resolution includes what guarantees parliaments to possess the skills and resources necessary to perform its legislative and supervisory role, which will enhance international cooperation, political stability, and support democracy by enabling parliaments to actively represent citizens, formulating more comprehensive legislation, And the issuance of policies and laws that reflect the needs of society from a gender perspective, in addition to improving the transparency of elections and equal opportunities, will enhance confidence in political action and support social and political stability, which contributes to building more sustainable regimes.

In another intervention on the topic of “Women and Politics: Global Networks”, Al -Shehhi said that the UAE believes that enabling women is a key to building a strong and comprehensive society, and this applies in particular to the political field, as women contribute effectively to drawing the internal and external policies of the state, noting the importance of investing governments in systems and guidance programs and policies that support the entry of more women into political life, and enable them to succeed in them, and added that our societies become stronger when it is heard when it is heard Everyone’s voice, and the woman gives the opportunity to lead.
