“Emirates Today” learned from an informed source that the Romanian coach, Cosmin Olario, set 3 conditions for the training of the UAE national football team to succeed Portuguese coach Paulo Pinto, who was dismissed from his position against the background of the recent results of the team in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
According to the source, these conditions were in the request of Kozmin that the contract between him and the Football Association be long for the presence of the team as long as possible, especially with the possibility that the team qualified to the World Cup will run in the World Cup, while the second condition includes the full fullness of training the team and the failure to combine the training of the team and Sharjah at the same time, knowing that Cosmin’s contract with Sharjah Club will end at the end of the current season 2024-2025.
The third condition included Cosmin obtaining appropriate financial sums, especially since Sharjah sought during the last period to renew his contract and his continuation of the team’s leadership before he was finally nominated by the fans to train the team.
Another source revealed that everything that is currently going on with Kozmin and with other coaches are among the options that the Football Association has developed to take over the team’s training is merely negotiations and initial options, and has not yet been reached an official agreement in this regard with any of the coaches nominated to succeed Portuguese coach Paulo Pinto.
It is noteworthy that the UAE team needs more than one scenario to qualify directly to the World Cup, including winning its remaining matches against both Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on the fifth and tenth of next June in a row, provided that the Uzbekistan team is lost to Qatar in the last round of the qualifiers.
