Dubai World Cup closing offers set a record in the Guinness Book

The closing show of the evening of the 29th edition of the Dubai World Cup, which was held yesterday evening on the field of “Maidan”, scored a new record in the Guinness Book of Records, in the category of the “largest LED plane display in the world”, using 5,983 drones.

The show, which was attended by more than 60,000 spectators, witnessed distinctive visual scenes that lasted about 20 minutes, mixing the latest technology of running aircraft, lasers, optical effects, and fireworks, to constitute an integrated artistic show that combined visual dazzling and cultural messages.

The show included three -dimensional figures in the sky, including huge images of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai “may God bless him”, as well as animated scenes of horses and tournament cup.

According to the Guinness Book, the Dubai Horse Racing Club has managed to record this new record, after the planes formed a unique visual show, showing pictures and videos of quality comparable to traditional commercial screens, reflecting technological progress and artistic creativity in providing weather shows.

In the last version of the championship, the club set a record using 4,000 drones, along with two additional number on the “largest air conditioner for the cup” and “the largest air logo”, to confirm again this year its leading position in employing modern technologies to enrich the major sporting events.

The shows included emotional and cultural messages that expressed the symbolism of horses in Emirati society, as part of the national identity, and a source of pride and pride.

The show concluded with a message to the public, saying: “We see you next year: the 30th anniversary of the Dubai World Cup.”
