From the devastating earthquake to the catastrophic Hurricane of the catastrophic, and from the earthquakes of Syria and Turkey to the Humanitarian Gaza crisis, the Emirati rescue teams did not satisfy the emergency response, but rather went to the difference in the difference when traditional solutions were unable to use smart and unfamiliar solutions in relief.

On March 31, the UAE sent the UAE search and rescue team of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, National Guard and Joint Operations Command, to support search and rescue efforts for those affected by the effects of the earthquake that struck the Republic of Mainmar.
The Emirati search and rescue team started its duties in 6 sites with high efficiency without stopping, within the morning and evening shifts system, with the aim of accelerating the pace of response, and reaching the largest possible number of sites affected in the shortest possible time.
His Excellency Brigadier Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, stressed that the UAE continues to consolidate its international position as a pioneer in humanitarian work, by employing innovative and advanced methods in the active and rapid response to crises and natural disasters around the world.
He pointed out in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” that the qualitative efforts of the Emirates Research and Rescue Team represent an inspiring model for the efficiency of response and the depth of the human commitment adopted by the state, where the team adopts the latest technologies in the fields of field evaluation, monitoring damage, search and rescue, rapid intervention, with a focus on high readiness, continuous training, and partnerships International institutional.
He said: “The UAE is not only dealing with disasters as emergency challenges, but also views it as an opportunity to enhance human solidarity, provide a model to be followed in international coordination, joint cooperation, and the response based on knowledge and technology, which embodies the vision of rational leadership in establishing the Emirates as a beacon for good, and a global center for effective human intervention.”
He added: “We are proud of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority that we are part of this humanitarian role, and are committed to continuing to develop our capabilities and enhance our readiness according to the best international standards, in a way that ensures the continuity of providing services that rise to the highest levels of efficiency and readiness, and embody our humanitarian mission inside and outside the state.”
He stressed that the success of the tasks of the previous Emirates team, and the concrete results on the ground enhances the presence of the state as a reliable international shareholder in providing support and relief, and extending a helping hand to the affected peoples, regardless of the geographical dimension or the volume of challenges.

The “Al -Faris 2” operation is one of the most successful humanitarian operations launched by the UAE in February 2023 to support brothers and friends affected by the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey, and lasted more than 5 months.
The process resulted in the rescue of dozens of people from under the rubble, and the treatment of 13 thousand and 463 cases, in addition to providing humanitarian aid, which amounted to 15 thousand and 164 tons through the air bridge that included the organization of 260 flights, carried 6,912 tons of urgent aid, including tents, basic foods and medicines, while 8252 tons of humanitarian aid were transported using 4 shipping ships transported the relief materials Reconstruction materials to the affected areas.
With the earthquake, the UAE search and rescue team moved to search for survivors under the rubble of the falling buildings in both Syria and Turkey, a human epic, to save hundreds of lives after hours of hard work in the cold weather conditions at the time.
Derna
The UAE is one of the first countries to send urgent relief assistance and search and rescue teams to Libya, in September 2023, to help in facing the effects of Hurricane Daniel, who killed dozens as well as others, as well as the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
The Emirati search and rescue team, which included more than (91) specialists, was present in the Libyan city of Derna, and during his duties he succeeded in reaching hundreds of missing persons, and also contributed to the recovery of many bodies, body parts and human shifts.
During the search and rescue missions, the team used water bikes, rescue boats and drones, in addition to the use of “K9” search dogs, which are one of the most important and most effective research means that are used in search operations for missing persons in the collapses and under the rubble.

The “Al -Faris 3” operation that the UAE launched to support the brothers in Gaza has completed about 518 days, from continuous giving and providing all kinds of urgent humanitarian aid to support the affected people.
Air projection operations formed “Birds of Goodness” formed one of the most prominent innovative and qualitative initiatives within the “Faris 3” to deliver relief aid to the isolated areas in the Gaza Strip, where until March 21, it succeeded in delivering 3700 tons of aid, through 53 air projection operations.
“Good birds” use dedicated boxes equipped with a “GPS” technology, where the aid is placed inside these funds with the aim of delivering them to the specific sites and within the appropriate times.
It is worth noting that the total aid provided within the “Al -Faris 3” process reached until March 21, 2025, more than 65 thousand tons of food, medical and relief items, at a value exceeding $ 1.2 billion, which were delivered through various air, land and sea means.
