Trump confirms the approach of a deal on the hostages held by Hamas

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that there is progress at the hostage levels held by Hamas in Gaza, stressing that he is communicating with both Israel and Hamas without addressing more details.

The US President stressed that “the restoration of Israeli hostages from Gaza is soon.”

This comes amid the efforts of the White House envoy to Israel, Steve Witkeov and Egyptian mediators, to reach a temporary agreement between Israel and Hamas on the hostages that would satisfy both parties.

“The possibility of reaching a new agreement during the next two weeks has increased significantly, but there are still big gaps,” Israeli officials told Axius news site.
