The Foreign Minister follows the file of the Egyptian candidate campaign for the position of Director General of UNESCO

Bader Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, on Saturday, April 12, 2025, Dr. Khaled Al -Anani, former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian candidate for the position of Director General of UNESCO, in the presence of Minister Commissioner Wael Abdel Wahab, Director of the Nomination Campaign, in the context of the meetings conducted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs periodically to follow the Egyptian nomination file. Al -Anani, with Minister Abdel -Ati, informed the latest developments in the nomination campaign, including the visit he made to the French capital, Paris, to participate in the interviews held by the UNESCO Executive Council for the candidates for the position of Director General on April 9, which represented an important station in the Egyptian nomination path, during which he reviewed Dr. Al -Anani, his electoral vision, which came based on the visions that he listened to during his electoral rounds over the past two years, which included more than 45 countries. The meeting also dealt with the future movement plan for the nomination campaign, in preparation for the elections that will be held in October 2025.
