A program for scholarships and employment of Emirati students in the Emirates Group

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced a cooperation agreement with the «Emirates Group» to support the scholarship program, ensure the rehabilitation of national cadres, and to enhance their compatibility with national priorities and the requirements of the labor market.

The agreement aims to enhance integration between the outputs of the missions program with the requirements of the national labor market, and to keep pace with the strategic priorities of the state, by building and qualifying qualified Emirati competencies in the future sectors.

The agreement was signed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the CEO of the Emirates Airlines and the group, the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al -Awar, in the presence of a number of senior officials from both sides.

The agreement aims to support scholarship programs by providing distinguished educational opportunities for Emirati students in the most prominent international universities and within the specializations that are in line with national priorities, as well as facilitating their transfer from the stage of higher education to the labor market by providing practical training and vocational guidance and ensuring employment opportunities after graduation, and according to the agreement, Emirati students in the Emirates Group will be used as soon as they obtain the school mission, where the student is an employee in the company during the company The entire period of his studies, and he gets specialized vocational training.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is scheduled to allocate a number of scholarships annually for new and continuous Emirati students, as the Ministry will work in coordination with the «Emirates Group» to define the academic destinations, the choice of universities and specializations that are in line with national priorities and the needs of the sector, in addition to setting the criteria for accepting students, and attracting candidates for scholarships.

The Ministry will take over the application process, as well as make final decisions regarding the scholarships in coordination with the “Emirates Group”.
