المملكة: After 90 years of its extinction … the return of 153 Arabs to the King Salman Reserve

The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Reserve Development Authority has launched – as part of its efforts to enhance natural diversity and resettle endangered organisms in its natural habitats – 153 Arab oryx in the areas (Al -Tabeq, Al -Khanfa, Hurra Al -Hurra).
The authority explained that the Arabian oryx is one of the endangered species, and it is classified within the family of Baqaiyat and has a strong structure and long -term centuries characterized by its white color and its distinctive pattern with the presence of black signs in the face, and it feeds on herbal plants, and is found in the King Salman Reserve and is considered one of the most important programs that the authority works for to resettle this type and multiply, and programs for the Arab Eagle are allocated within the efforts to preserve the many types of animals inside the reserve.

Localization of endangered organisms

She confirmed the registration of 8 births for Maha and witnessed the year 2022 the first birth of this type in 90 years in the Al -Tabiq area and is the first birth stage within the King Salman Reserve, indicating that the Arabian oryx is often active in the early morning or evening in order to avoid extreme heat.
The resettlement of endangered organisms reflects the authority’s commitment to continuous work to support environmental balance, enrich biological diversity, and to preserve the species whose numbers have decreased due to factors, including environmental pressures and the loss of vegetation.
