The results of the comprehensive control campaign on famous food chains
The Food Safety Authority said that the issue of food safety is one of the basic issues that affect the health of individuals and society, and recently, a number of complaints have been monitored by citizens related to the presence of corrupt food products in the market, which resulted in the recording of multiple cases by the injury of some consumers with symptoms of food poisoning, which raised the concerns of consumers and regulatory authorities alike.

In the context of the National Food Safety Authority’s keenness to protect consumers’ health and ensure the safety and safest food products circulated in the markets, the regulatory teams during the past days have implemented extensive field inspection campaigns on factories and shops for sales and trading food products belonging to famous sweets and food chains, complaints in various governorates of the republic.

These campaigns aim to ensure commercial facilities adhere to food safety standards, proper storage conditions, and the validity of the offered products, in addition to monitoring any violations related to food fraud.

Samples were withdrawn by the regulatory committees from raw materials and products in factories and branches, and the results of the analyzes stated that the presence of pathogenic bacteria in many food products intended for trading, these bacteria are considered one of the main causes of food poisoning, and mainly affects the digestive system.

Also, some products contained internationally prohibited colors, while others were stored in incorrect ways, which may help the products of the products and change their properties and corruption.
The inspection tours resulted in the following results:
– Visit more than 47 stores and food facilities of these chains.

– Taking regular measures that included temporarily closing the activity of the aforementioned brands until the situation is corrected and reconciled.

– The confiscation and execution of quantities of products that are not suitable for human consumption.

The authority calls on all owners of food establishments to the necessity of full commitment to the requirements and standards of food safety specified by the authority and the regulations in force, stressing that the supervisory tours will continue intensively during the coming period without compromise, and that any violations will be dealt with firmly according to the laws and laws.
