Drug Control Department organizes a conference on "Global challenges in combating money laundering crimes in light of digital transformation"
The General Administration of Narcotics Control of the Anti -Narcotics, Weapons and Ammunition Sector of the Ministry of Interior organized the ninth conference to combat money laundering crimes resulting from drug trafficking, under the slogan & quot; Global Challenges in Combating Money Laundering Crimes in light of digital transformation & quot;
& nbsp;
and the conference highlighted On several topics, among them: analysis of existing policies, discussing legal frameworks regulating the tightening of financial oversight in light of the digital transformation, drying the sources of drugs by confronting money laundering crimes, and maximizing the benefit of cooperation between the concerned authorities & quot internationally and locally; Regarding the fight against money laundering, exchanging experiences and providing a platform for dialogue and standing on the best experiments regarding the confrontation of money laundering obtained from drug crimes, as well as upgrading the training level for those in charge of combating those crimes.
& nbsp; To exchange information and data between the concerned authorities to combat money laundering crimes obtained from drug crimes & ndash; enhance the use of artificial intelligence and modern technologies to detect patterns & nbsp; laundering new money & ndash; Raising the level of mass awareness through multiple media, and launching digital complaints platforms for citizens to report these crimes. When it was reflected during the conference activities, the Ministry of Interior was keen to enhance the bonds of effective cooperation to confront drugs and psychotropic substances in all its forms and to improve security performance from a scientific perspective.
